That’s what we are all doing in this world, right? It’s a never-ending search for something to believe in and somewhere in which we feel a sense of belonging. I think it’s fascinating how different this journey and its destination looks like for everyone I pass on the street.
Personally, it’s been a rough couple of weeks. I’ll be honest, some nights look so dark that I’m not entirely sure what the next day will look like. Some words and conversations have began to irk me in ways that I never thought they could once upon a time. It was one of those “I’m just going to brush it off” sort of things, but I couldn’t brush it off anymore. I think that there comes a point where you outgrow people… if that can be a thing? Or you know what? You outgrow habits of those who you once counted on, and that becomes your breaking point.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying,
“You don’t need anyone but yourself, girlfriend!”
But I am saying that you don’t need everyone. Some people thrive off of encouraging others to pursue passions, and others thrive by seizing any opportunity to bring people down. Choose wisely & I’m really still learning. I can’t imagine where I’d be right now without the people who pushed me to keep pursuing what I want no matter how different it is from everything I’ve ever known.
Different is beautiful though. Different people and experiences keep me searching for my own purpose & it is probably my main motivation (besides my mother) to keep treading the unknown no matter how much I want to quit.
Y’all, life is amazing. If you haven’t found your passion yet, keep searching. It’s somewhere out there. The moment you find it, I swear, you will be unstoppable.
Until next week, trailblazers! I’ll also be taking a trip then, so follow along on my Instagram!
This was such a beautiful post & I agree we all are searching for something. Finding what that exactly is can be tricky.
