I’d buy you all a cupcake or two to apologize for my being MIA if I could, but that’s just not possible. What I can do though is write about whatever it is you all might want to read about coming from my point of view. But SUSAN IS BACK & I’m SUPER excited to share all I experienced last year with you lovelies, so let’s get into it!
2016, despite of the yuck in the world, was a pretty great year. I’m pretty set on never giving negativity the attention it seeks, so we’re just focusing on the positives. The beginning of 2016 was a bit slow, but I was able to visit Paris again for about a week and a half mid 2016. Have any of you been? It’s so beautiful and so rich in its history. I couldn’t stop looking up at the blue sky and gorgeous buildings (and people) wherever I went. Probably looked like a crazy person, but what’s new, right? It probably didn’t help that I had a caffeine overdose every single day since ordering “coffee” automatically translates to a shot of espresso, which is probably the most exciting jolt of of energy I’ve ever felt.
Speaking of the most exciting jolt of energy, I won concert tickets for Beyonce’s “Formation” World Tour! The light work, stage work, choreography, instruments, and vocals were amazing. I find it so encouraging and inspiring that B actually produces all of her shows herself. Really shows that anything is possible. There’s even a photo on my Instagram of Bey and I and my arms around her, if you’re interested in seeing that. Okay fine, it’s just a cardboard version of B, but still memorable. If you know me personally, you know I’m all about her and that I’d probably consider that win my very very best accomplishment. Ok, maybe not my very best, but it definitely makes Top 5.
Another one in my Top 5 is that I also got my first internship! Whoop whoop!! If you’d like to read about my experience and how I actually built up the courage to dip my toes into the vast ocean of adulthood, let me know via poll below! It was absolutely terrifying, but is way more rewarding. Sometimes you need that little but really hard push toward that direction you want to go for. But I can honestly say that if your dreams don’t scare you even a little, it isn’t worth it.
What about you all? If you could sum up your 2016 in just one sentence, what would it be?
Share down below, and keep up with my day-to-day on my social channels linked on the blog! See you next Friday.
XO,
Susan
